Abstract
As one of the most prominent French writter of the 20th century, Patrick Modiano has been known as the art of memory. All of his works are journeys referring tothe lost memories and an answer for the question “who am I?”. “So You Don’t Get Lost in the Neighborhood” is one of many those journeys. The work focuses on discussing about some statements in this novel: The person who lost memories; Reality is blurry shadow of the past and Seeking for the past or just a meaningless journey. Through this, the author indicated the journey to get back to Jean Daragane’s missing time, or our lost time is an indeterminate, infinite and aimless path.
