Abstract
Time orientation is the ability to position oneself according to event continuity, extension of time gaps, variation in cycles and the irreversible nature of time. Time orientation is of vital importance to humans in general and children aged 5-6 in particular to adapt themselves to surrounding circumstances. It is a crucial and urgent task to help children build up time symbols in order to efficiently implement pre-school objectives. This article presents an in-depth investigation into theoretical bases of time, capacity, traits, and content of time orientation of 5-6 year-olds. Especially, the article also proposes some solutions to help children aged 5-6 build up time-oriented symbols most effectively.
