DESIGNING MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PLAYTHINGS FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN FROM WASTE MATERIALS

Abstract

Inventive playthings plays a key role in psychological, physiological, intellectual, aesthetic development and improves the personality of children. Through playing with inventive and educational playthings, kids have opportunities to develop their imagination, creation and excite their ability in study and discovery. The type and feature of inventive playthings effect the process of perception, create more opportunities for kids to compare and check if it is industrial toys or inventive toy independently and creatively. On the basis of theoretical study and practical survey on inventive playthings for children at kindergartens in Da Nang, the article aims to orient teachers to utilize waste materials to create attractive, beautiful, long-lasting and educational toys. Moreover, the inventive playthings are also multi-functional and can be used for different ages and themes of study.
