POLLUTION AND SOLLUTIONS FOR PROTECTING RIVER WATER INVIRONMENT IN DANANG CITY

Abstract

The situation of the socio-economic development in Danang City in the past years has yielded large achievements; the city residents’ life quality has been increasingly improved. However, socio-economic activities also cause adverse effects on the environment in general and water environment in particular. The quality of water environment, especially the quality of river water environment is improved compared to that in previous years, but the situation is still quite complex. Many areas are still polluted;  some reach  an alarming rate, and lots of areas have been polluted for a long time. Especially, pollution arises in some new areas. This will be the greatest concern in the future without the implementation of appropriate solutions. In this paper, we study the current situation, causes of river pollution to propose appropriate solutions for both developing social economy and ensuring the quality of river water.
