FOREST ROAD MEMOIR OF LAN KHAI AND “SINUOUS LOGICALNESS OF GENRE”

Abstract

Since the early twentieth century, the tendency of literature modernization has been associated with the complex rule of genre formation and interaction process. Accordingly, some progressive writers have used the writing method of genre interaction which is one of the intertextuality forms. In particular, Lan Khai is said to have audaciously used this writing technique to create a "network" of forest road society. Not following the same route, Lan Khai attempts to escape from the genre form in each work. Memoir is the fusion between story and research, the correlation between scientific and artistic thoughts. From this genre feature, the writer created a boundary of genre variants, forming the genre interaction and it is considered as an intention to take part in the "game" of blurring genre boundaries.
