Abstract
Setting the training program of English for philology achieving right standards of knowledge and being suitable for students must be based on aspects such as the transmission of knowledge within a precise distinction of the subject: its own nature and its specific features, not to be confused with the subjects of foreign language, teaching or learning methodology. English for Philology is a subject of its own. However, it is in tight relationship with other basic subjects. Therefore, this paper defines: which parts of knowledge are necessary tools for the students, which parts provide them with thinking and reasoning basis, and which parts are their targets.
