Abstract
As an emerging science, ethics of development came into being at the proper time when mankind’s development process is faced with challenges and crises. Its basic mission is, on one hand, to offset the shortcomings of traditional ethics, on the other hand, to provide moral grounds in order to solve mankind’s difficulties brought about by development. Therefore, ethics of development focuses on three major relationships: the relationships between man and nature, man and man and man and himself. These are fundamental moral issues that arise in the development process. From the perspective of this interpretation, the paper highlights the interest of ethics of development in environmental issues to build harmonious relationships between man and nature, between man and man.
