RESEARCHING AND COMPILING THE TOURISM GEOGRAPHY SYLLABUS FOR TEACHING INTENSIVE ENGLISH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DANANG

Abstract

Since 2005, the Faculty of Geography has carried out a training program in Bachelor of Geography with a course of Tourism Geography. To meet the dramatically increasing needs of learners, Tourism Geography has been taught successfully in The University of Danang, inclucing University of Education, University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, and also for people who want to get a Tour Guide Certificate… For the purpose of helping students seek employment opportunities after graduation and improve the capability of applying knowledge of Tourism Geography in English to the real situations, which enhances the integration into ASEAN labor market after 2015, the Tourism Geography program has been conducted in the orientation of serving the teaching of intensive English. It is expected that this program meets the requirements of innovation in the teaching method and content at higher education level.
