Abstract
The ASEAN-China dialogic relation was started at the 24th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting in July 1991 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After more than two decades of development, the ASEAN-China cooperation has become one of the most active and effective partnerships among ASEAN relationships with dialogic partners. This relationship has made great contributions to the peace, security and development of Southeast Asia in general, ASEAN and China in particular. This article focuses on analyzing factors that led to the establishment of the ASEAN-China relationship, the process of establishing their dialogue relation and the significance of this relation.
