Abstract
The basic and advanced physics schoolbooks for class 12 on the Theory of Relativity offer the concept of relativistic mass: the mass of an object increases with its speed. This article proves that the idea is false. On the basis of finding out the source of errors, this article suggests the contents that need to be modified in a timely manner. As a result, this will contribute to the improvement of domestic textbooks to ensure the quality of education.
Keywords
class 12 physics; theory of Relativity; mass; energy; momentum.
