Abstract
Using learning games is one of the effective methods for educating kindergartners about the environment. However, at present, environmental education via the use of learning games in preschool education has not been effective due to lack of instructional documentation and sample games. This article presents results from a study on principles, design as well as introduces 5 learning games to educate preschool children aged from 5 to 6 about the environment. Experimental results show that the use of these games has led to a significant increase in observation capacity, problem-solving ability, positive attitude towards the games, awareness of environmental protection among children of the experimental group compared to the control group. The percentages of children reaching good levels in the three above indicators are 74%, 83%, 77% (prior to experiment: 14%, 23%, 14%; for the control group: 31%, 37%, 34%).
