USING ROLE PLAY IN GENDER EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION - UNIVERSITY OF DA NANG

Abstract
The World Population Fund (WPF) has cooperated with University of Education-The University of Danang (UD) and the Department of Education and Training of Danang City to develop the programme of gender, sexuality and health education for students of University of Education -The University of Danang and students of Hoang Hoa Tham High School of Danang City. ‘The journey of becoming adults’ – the material for university students, and ‘the supply of knowledge in gender and reproductive health for the teenagers’ – the material for high school students, are the results of this cooperation. With a system of cooperative pedagogic methods, the programme has been carried out successfully, and highly appreciated by students. The partners of the programme have decided to extend the progam to high schools and secondary school in Danang City. This paper mentions the application of the role play method with the following stages: developing contents and objectives, writing script, staging, performing, analyzing after the performance, and summarizing the lessons to form the refusing skill for students of University of Education, The University of Danang when teaching the textbook ‘Journey of becoming adults’
