WOMEN’S NOVELS IN THE FIRST 15 YEARS OF THE XXI CENTURY: PROFILE AND PROSPECT

Abstract

In the late twentieth century, especially in the first 15 years of the XXI century, in line with the progression of literary genres, women's novels have gained in many great accomplishments. The appearance of various styles brimming with female ways of writing has helped to shape the female literary line, thereby affirming women writers’ success in a genre that has been supposed to be very much a male domain. With their gender awareness in individual discourses and their attempts to renew literary genres in view of literature as a language game, many generations of women writers at home and abroad have made significant contributions to the achievements of novels in particular and the literature of the early XXI century in general.
