Abstract
Questions are an indispensable tool in teaching. Making a question is a routine which is regularly used by teachers for many different purposes. Question is used as a logical tool to organize and control student’s cognitive activities. The cognitive activity, which is stimulated by questions, deliveries to subject an awareness of comprehensive intellectual products about knowledge, thinking skill, practical skill and attitude. Question is used as a cognitive stimulus and a product of awareness at the same time. However, in teaching, question has not been used and entirely exploited its natural philosophy. This article aims to analyze the role of cognitive skill in teaching under the perspective of teacher. Thereby, a more comprehensive view of question's value can be applied optimally in teaching Biology in high school.
