THE WRITER - A SPECIAL TYPE OF CHARACTER IN THE VIETNAMESE PROSE SINCE 1986

Abstract

Since Doi moi (1986), Vietnamese literature has made great breakthroughs both in terms of both content and expression. Along with innovations in forms, artistic poetics is a comprehensive innovation of the author's thinking system that redirects readers’ perception and receptivity. By exploring the writer - a unique character in the contemporary Vietnamese prose whose career is similar to that of the author himself, this article makes generalizations of the role, mission and significance of this character in literary works, and at the same time, through the character system, penetrates into the writer’s awareness of his profession, sense of artistic language creativity in the journey to renew literature.
