Abstract
This paper presents the results of determination of chemical composition in the ethylacetat-aceton extract from curcuma longa collected in Champasack province, Lao using GC-MS method with 29 constituents were identified in total. The key constituent in the ethylacetat-aceton extract was 1,3-Cyclohexadiene, 5-(1,5-dimethyl-4-hexenyl)-2-methyl-,[S-(R*, S*)] - 24,31%. Meanwhile, 30 constituents were indentified in the essential oil of curcuma longa with the highest designated constituent was 1,3-Cyclohexadiene, 5-(1,5-dimethyl-4-hexenyl)-2-methyl-,[S-(R*, S*)] - 22,98%. Concentration of the identified constituents in the essential oil of curcuma longa from Champasack was not far different to the ones extracted from curcuma longa in KonTum, Vietnam
