Abstract
Trang An area has 2 ecosystems: the on-land ecosystem and the in-water ecosystem. In the on-land ecosystem, there are 5 formations with 606 species of vascular plants and 179 species of animals including 54 of fish, 32 of amphibia and reptiles, 79 of birds and 39 of mammals, among which there are 7 species of plants and 12 species of animals listed in the Red Book of Vietnam. In the in-water ecosystem, there are 258 phytoplankton species, 60 macrophyta species, 22 zooplankton species and 95 zoo-benthos species.
