Abstract
ESP plays an important role in the security students ‘future jobs at College of People’s Security II. Therefore, increasing the quality of ESP learning and teaching becomes an urgent need. However, this task is not smooth at all because of some passive factors: the ESP course bookwhich is not designed scientifically, ESP teachers lacking professional knowledge of security activities and teaching methods that are not well - selected. Thus, in the process of finding out the good ways, the reality of ESP teaching and learning at College of People’s Security IIhas been explored. Based on the finding, some appropriate ways such as innovating the course book, helping English teachers access and know learners’ qualifications and selecting appropriate methods of teaching to improve the quality of ESP teaching at the college so as to enhance the efficiency of using ESP in the students’ future jobs.
