Abstract
In this paper, we show the results of study of structure, microstructure, piezoelectric properties of the PZT – PMN – PSN ceramic and fabricate a disk-shaped piezoelectric transformer based on PZT – PMN - PSN ceramic. The dependence of piezoelectric properties on the ratio of input and output area electrodes were investigated. The transformer with diameter of 22 mm and thickness of 1.9 mm having the ratio of input and output area electrodes was 2.6 had maximum output power of 14W. With the matching load, its maximum efficiency was 95%, and maximum voltage gains was 7.5. It has potential to be used in piezoelectric ballast and power supply units in other electronic circuits.
