USING SPSS SOFTWARE TO BUILD BOX PLOT IN RESEARCHING AND TEACHING SOCIAL – ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY

Abstract
Charts are a very important and popular tool for teaching and researching geography. Using and applying features of SPSS to teaching and researching geography are essential, including the use of the charts. A chart can be built quickly and conveniently by Excel. Especially for the box charts, besides building a chart, processing and analyzing data are also important. Therefore, SPSS software is selected. The article focuses on how to build the box plot and the expression meaning of the box chart in SPSS, and gives illustrative examples of the application of the software to analyzing the economic – social geograhy problem.
