Abstract
Vietnamese symbolic poets have brought into poetry their novel, original and modern discourses on the world. They conceive of the world as unclear and incoherent by nature; behind the reality world there exists another more realistic world. Therefore, they have advocated exploring it and discovered the existence of an enigmatic, mysterious and metaphysical realm. It is heaven and hell with historical legends and illusions. Moreover, in the perception of the symbolic poets, the world is not divided into halves but unified and reciprocal. Man and the universe, being and nothingness, the material world and the spiritual world, the body and the soul, aromas, colours and sounds, ..., are all blended with each other. It can be said that this is a revolutionary discovery in the artistic symbolic poets’ conception about the world.
