Abstract
Intercultural literature has become an essential way in writing and perceiving literature today. Under the view of the intercultural theory, many issues arise in works such as distinctiveness, diversity, conversations, equality between two or more different cultures. Khaled Hosseini is not only an international writer but also an intercultural author. His works fully embodies the national identity of the traditional Afghani people and the segregation in solidarity with the modern, open Western culture. In three novels “The kite runner”, “A thousand splendid suns”, “And the mountain echoed”, Khaled Hosseini portrayed the world of characters diversely such as an exile, a traveler, a wounded, characters associated with a notion of hesitation. Thereby, the writer sent a different voice, expectation from the Middle East country to the international community in the context of the flat world today.
