KINH TẾ PHẬT GIÁO DƯỚI THỜI RAMA V: CHÍNH SÁCH BẢO TRỢ CỦA NHÀ NƯỚC VÀ TÁC ĐỘNG ĐỐI VỚI TĂNG ĐOÀN

Tóm tắt
Dưới triều vua Chulalongkorn (Rama V, 1868-1910), Phật giáo vừa là nền tảng tinh thần của xã hội, vừa là công cụ chính trị để củng cố quyền lực vương triều Chakri. Nhà vua tiến hành nhiều chính sách bảo trợ kinh tế đối với Tăng đoàn, như cấp đất, miễn thuế, hỗ trợ xây dựng và trùng tu chùa chiền, đồng thời ban hành Luật Tăng đoàn 1902 nhằm thể chế hóa cơ chế quản lý thống nhất. Chính sách này giúp Phật giáo giữ vai trò trung tâm trong đời sống xã hội, góp phần duy trì trật tự, giáo dục và phúc lợi cộng đồng. Tuy nhiên, việc gắn bó chặt chẽ với nhà nước cũng khiến Tăng đoàn ngày càng phụ thuộc vào cơ chế tập quyền, giảm tính tự chủ truyền thống. Nhìn chung, mối quan hệ kinh tế - tôn giáo dưới thời Rama V không chỉ củng cố uy tín vương quyền mà còn để lại di sản quan trọng cho quá trình hiện đại hóa Phật giáo và quốc gia Thái Lan.
